Smorgasbord 007.
1. The boyfriend could not save the laptop, alas. I’ll wait until I absolutely cannot live without one and then I’ll look at the market.
2. When I go to the homey Mexican place, Valentine’s, two doors down, I usually order one flour tortilla. Sometimes a diet Coke, also. In my defense [because I feel the need to defend myself for obtaining a single fifty cent tortilla, fifty-four with tax], the tortilla is four times the size of my face and plenty filling. Further, there’s something in the tortilla, perhaps crack, probably not narcotics since I’m already addicted. They heat it up all warm and toasty and I come home, sit in front of the TV and make a flour burrito and dip it into the hot sauce. Brian used to observe my strange behaviour with some degree of perplexity, but after one bite, even he too admitted, “That is damned good.”
3. Two or three days in the past week have been emotionally wrought. Frustration stacking up over months reached a boiling point. Living together, sharing one bedroom does not allow for escape. Brian nor I are the shouting, yelling, walking out [save for one exception sixteen months ago] sort, but there is further frustration that his ability to sort things in that noggin of his is not bestowed upon me. I require a pen, paper to write flowcharts, diagrams, paragraphs upon paragraphs to form a compromise. After two days of extensive talking, we rub feet again in bed. We’re okay.
4. I purchased a shirt featuring buffalo and the phrase, “We will roam again.” I have a soft spot for buffalo. They’re my favorite in my animal cracker mix. [Plus, buffalo meat tastes good.]
5. I happened to be laughing uproariously as Sachi tripped and a male passersby, very cute, I must say, comments “You have a great laugh!” That is quite the compliment; one of the most flattering that I could possibly receive.
